Abuse of Mod?
« on: March 15, 2013, 04:40:37 pm »
I would like to point out, that miningboys abuses his moderator rank. He just does things that I think aren't helping out the server. I don't think that he is the man for the job as mod. I would like to quote Weirdje "I didn't choose him because he was good, I chose him because he donated a lot of money." Just think about it. Also, about the spawn competition. When he advertised voting for him on the server. He became a mod, to build the spawn, just because he donated money and advertised on the server? Please, just think about it.

Oh so that was a joke? Phew. I got a bit confused over that, guess it didn't matter anyways.

So I agree with zz about the spawn competition part. He advertised on the server for people to vote for his build, and me and zz have told each other numerous times that "nobody votes for a big wood house amidst castles, pixel art, more pixel art, and futuristic modern shafts. it's not that exciting and it doesn't fit with the rest of the spawn." considering mining already donated 45 dollars, after he came on he said "i donated, so i hope i'll be ranked up". or at least, we had a conversation with him about that. The spawn building doesn't abuse anything, but the fact that he advertised for it, used other people to cheat him votes, donated for a higher rank, and changed another part of spawn (i think the fountain) without permission puts my opinion of him around where zz's is.

well all i want to know is why being the same person and voting from different ISPs for ONE person is OK, because mining won by someone cheating for him.

Hey Ob, you have no rational argument over this spawn comp poll. And even if you cook up something half like a distinguishable point to prove, what would it get you?
The poll ended, mining won. I very much doubt Weird has any sympathy for you. I know for sure I don't

I just think that Advertising to the mods and admins to vote for you is a little cheap no? okay the game fair. Lesson learmed. For all of the futur polls, no advertising to the mods/admins or anybody on the server. Agreed?

I see no reason not to advertise, see it as a PR operation. Like the US election where they spent billions on adverts and stuff, though toned down a bit.

Not even a full page and we are talking about should people in polls advertise for votes. My response is I don't see what's so bad about advertising for votes in polls.
The fact the we mean nothing in the scheme of things is something some people just haven't grasped.
